Aren't smores just the yummiest! I decided to make some fun treats last weekend and this was a great treat that doesn't involve an oven (hallelujah!) and you can even have your little ones help you! I have shared before how I am NOT Martha Stewart. But I love trying new things and sometimes times it works and sometimes I manage to mess up Rice Krispie Treats :(. I have become one of those "Good Enough" moms, especially if you are just going to eat it anyways. So enjoy my messy pictures, I spent most of the process trying to keep my 4-year-old from dumping sprinkles all over the place :)
Smores Pops:
- Graham crackers, I used less than a box. It is really up to your discretion as to how many you want/need to make
- Marshmallow creme, I bought 2 containers, but only needed 1 for the amount I made (14 half and 5 quarter sized pops)
- Popsicle sticks
- Parchment paper
- Chocolate chips- I used 2 bags
- Sprinkles for decorating
Break the graham cracker in half so you have 2 squares. Using a spatula or knife (I sprayed mine with cooking spray so it wouldn't stick), spread the marshamallow creme on one square.
Add the popsicle stick
Cover with more cream so it sticks
And place the other half of graham cracker on top
Place pops on a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze for 20 minutes
While the pops are freezing, melt the chocolate. I added a little veggie oil to mine and melted at 50% for about 4 30-second increments.
Now it's time to cover your pops with the gooey chocolate!
Once all of the pops were covered, Luke decorated them with sprinkles and mini m&ms. To set the chocolate, place in fridge for 30 minutes.
Voila! The finished product. The quarter-sized pops were the perfect size for the little ones!
Enjoy!
