Clovis Night Out 2016

Over the weekend, we went to Clovis Night Out for the very first time. I have shared before about how much I love where we live now and how much of a community it is. This annual event is hosted in a large park next to the pet adoption center. It is a free event with free parking! There were several different food vendors, booths with giveaways and promotions and booths with items to purchase. There were A TON of bounce houses (did I mention this was a free event?!), fun public safety vehicles for the kids to explore and see up close, live music and fireworks! I was so impressed with this event and am already looking forward to next year's.

The kids got to check out a police motorcycle.

I don't know the name of this band, but they were great! Fantastic mix of contemporary and great oldies. Love a band that can go from Megan Trainor's "All about that bass" to "play that funky music"....it's gonna be a good night!

The kids got to meet McGruff, the Crime Dog

Aren't they just the cutest. I love that, at least at the moment, these two love being together. And as they get older, going to events like this gets easier...no one ran off just for fun, they listened when we told them it was time to get out of the bounce house, they made friends with other kids, and did an awesome job waiting in several lines without a complaint.

Just hanging out a fire engine.

They got to check out the cab of the fire engine and the Explorers were so sweet to them.

Then they got to in a school bus, first time for both of them. Luke is so excited to start school next year, which I love, and he was stoked to see a real school bus.

Garbage trucks!!! Chloe was smaller than the tire!

Next, it was bounce house time. Chloe loves to jump, and Luke love anything active so bounce houses are basically gold to them.

All in all, there were 12 different inflatables...sheesh.

We were shocked that she could climb this by herself, God-given talent she has. Remember, she just turned 2!

   More Clovis PD vehicles

Getting to try on a bomb squad helmet.

Clovis Swat Vehicle, it was HUGE

This is how Chloe plays soccer.....maybe soccer isn't her sport.

Fire Helmets from Firehouse Subs.

We got great seats for the fireworks....waiting patiently

The fireworks caused a small fire, which Clovis Fire quickly put out.

Great event. All four of us enjoyed ourselves and caring wait for next year.
